And so it began. The HELL WEEK.
We had so much to do, and recess isn’t enough for us to prepare for the next two upcoming periods.
As usual, every Monday we have our MORNING ASSEMBLY and HOMEROOM. Meron kaming activity sa HR, which was about friendship tree or mood tree, I forgot the title. Basta, it was all about initials ng friends mo na isusulat sa isang fruit, then you color code it base on the following:
Green - Happy
Purple - Not so happy
Orange - Neutral
Yellow - In love
Blue - Cold
Black - Sad(As far as I’ve remembered)
Alam n’yo kung ano ang nilagay ko?
DLC (De La Costa) - Black
WB & RB (Wena Borres & Roy Borres [Parents]) - Purple
CT (Charmain Tejero [Moderator]) - Blue
Hindi ko alam kung ano ang pumasok sa kokote ko kanina, but I think it was because nadadala na ako sa pressure ng Hell Week. Everything seemed going against me, even my friends. LOL, baka kasi hindi lang ako prepared. :/
Siya nga pala, before the period ended, Ma’am arranged us according to the new seat plan. My new seatmates were Hannah and Pauline. Yung front ko naman ay sina Isaiah, Niña, at Novel.
And so, after recess was the moment of truth (part 1). ENGLISH. It was the group presentations of our story telling. Bawat pangkat sa amin ay may naka-assign na country. Ours was Thailand, Group 1 was Japan, Group 2 was India, and Group 3 was South Africa. Our story was pretty lame, so we pretty much deserved being scored the lowest.
The candidates for the chosen “story” were the group of Mary and Onur. Yung kina Mary, maganda yung story nila, nakakatuwa. It was about an African couple who throws their trashes everywhere. The old man in the neighborhood cursed his pregnant wife, at yung dinadala niyang baby ay naging “WHITE.” It was racism, we admit. But what gives? The story was funny and well-presented.
Meanwhile, the group of Onur has a different kind of story. It was about two Indians who were best of friends. One day, Jake got ill and Onur, being his best friend, had to find some ways to cure him. He then joined a band in order to win so that they can cater Onur’s family’s financial needs. Funny din naman siya, although the originality wasn’t that convincing dahil may pagka “3 Idiots” ang atmosphere.
In the end, we chose Mary’s group.
Dahil nga’y pressure na pressure ako, I wasn’t able to take pictures.
Now, another moment of truth (part 2). Sa SOCIAL STUDIES order of plays, pangatlo kami. I was the main actor for our group. Yung ginampanan kong papel ay si Alfonso de Albuquerque.
Tinatanggap ko na hindi nga kami ang may pinakamagandang presentation, ngunit ang sinasabi ko lang naman ay hindi rin kami ang tumanghal ng pinakapangit. LOL. Ang husay nga ng ibang group eh. May nalalaman pang sound effects.
The bell didn’t let us finish. May dalawa pang group (Oniel’s and Novel’s) na hindi pa nakatanghal.
LUNCH came pretty much faster than the norm. Dahil siguro’y pressured na pressured na talaga kami. Dinala ko yung copy ko for the talumpati, kasi sa tingin ko’y tatawagin na ako ngayon upang itanghal ang aking piyesa. I spent the whole lunch practicing and practicing.
BIOLOGY was full of you-know-what’s. I vaguely remember dahil nga’y pressured pa rin ako for Filipino period.
Sa MATH naman, we had our Math Song practice sa covered courts. BUKAS na kasi yung final presentation. Even though hindi naman siya practice, todo-effort pa rin kami dahil may mga audience naman bukas. LOL
And now, the moment of truth (part 3). THE FILIPINO TALUMPATI. Yung number ko was 39, tapos the number nagstart kanina was 20 (since this wasn’t the first day of the talumpati). Bumihis na talaga ako ng costume ng isang merchant. Kabadong-kabado nang tinitignan ko ang mga kaklaseng tumatanghal.
In the end, hindi lang din naman ako natawag (SUPER EPIC FAIL). So hinubad ko yung costume at nilagay ko nalang sa locker para hindi ko na dadalhin-dalhin pa bukas.
Nung dismissal na, we had our final practice for the Math Song sa soccer field. This time, Ma’am Gin was watching us, so kinakailangan talaga naming bumigay effort.
This was before dumating si Ma’am. HAHAHA
